Compass/Temp display

Have a 1999 Exp., the compass and temp display was working fine, until I recently changed the battery. Now it is blank. All fuses are good, and the map lights still work fine. Any ideas ?

fixed !!

After further review, I disconnected the battery again, and reconnected. After pressing the mode button, the unit reset and started to work again. Can't really say I know why, but apparently when the battery is offline, some of the electronics must reset themselves.

All is well that ends well !!

I was going to say- my unit went out last week, and I pushed the mode button, and it came back on...

Sometimes you have to push the lamp buttons also.
