by the way. The Mounty has 153K, and had the tranny bored out and an aftermarket servo installed.

I recently had to get full brake pads and rotors. And after searching i found the best ones to get would be cross drilled rotors(not slotted). I purchased them from tutu auto came with all the brake pads and rotors all around $200 including shipping. You can also pick a color for the hub part of the rotor i chose red to offset my new black rims looks amazing. Heres the website. I noticed a huge difference in the stopping power compared to my stock rotors. www.tutuauto.com

Fedy
U Rock! where is all else? I know its not just the 2 of us on this forum. Could use the help.

yeh great product i got it in 4 days and was cheap work amazing and look good i strongly recomend

Ordered the Quick Struts (complete assembly) from PrimeChoice, Sway bar links and new fogs lens/lites from AM Auto, and found a good set, (not the best/not the worst) brake pads and rotors front and rear locally at AutoZone. I never replace pads and Rotors before, and i've never repaired a broken sway bar link, so i'll do both sides and the quick struts, well hopefully i'll get them done within 2 hours for both sides. The link should be helpful.

Thanks for the heads up

Peace:us::thumbsup:

Big Rondo, I give Big Thanks to you and Fedy Fedz!

Luke, you are welcome but Natedoggaz needs the credit for finding those struts!! Hope all goes well with the project.

I thanked you guys and now i thank the originator. Thank you Natedoggaz!:us::thumbsup:

Keep us posted. Hope all goes well!

Luke,
Read my thread about breaking seized rotors. If you think you might have an issue, please get the bolts BEFORE you have it on stands with the wheels off. Cheap insurance. And good luck with the job...I'll be doing struts before too long myself with a BTF lift. Just waiting on tools.

As for brake stuff, I did motorcraft rotors from Amazon, $106 for the rear pair and Hawk for the pads. I got the pads from lightning motorsports. I gave them hell on my order but they really are a great, no BS parts house with the best Hawk prices I could find.

hope to get the entire job done on thursday. thanks for the thread, it will make thing much easier

but thanks to this post i won't look so dumb. Peace

Quick Struts arrived along with my 4 rotors and pads, and my from sway bar links. My bud is busy so now i hope to start and complete the job on Friday, weather permitting. I'll let you know how it goes and if i need advice.
Peace:us::exp:

Luke, tough to remove due to e-brake shoes. Check out this thread: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=192616

:) I found my left rear strut spring broke 3 weeks ago. Today my son and i replaced it, discovered the right rear had been broke a long time ago to my surprise. By the way, you need to remove the camber torsion link bolt completely, not just loosen to remove the torsion link connector. I tossed my e-brake shoes, they've fallen off the liner again, and caused me to buy a bearing / hub kit I don't need lucky for me. Fun experience for me and the son today, only took about 2 hours.:p:

Big R, Thanks so much. Just an fyi, i placed the drill bit in the knockout and got the slack i needed. the rt rear rotor was still jambed up, my friend had a puller which helped distribute the load and i was able to free the rotor. the e shoes were really jambed up. I finished the job, and all sounded great. brakes worked, car drive quietly. and now today, loud rubbing noise in the brakes, front and rear. the nopise goes away when turning my steering to the right, but is constant when traveling straight and when turning left. Thoughts. I have a camping trip on tuesday and i need my ride. BTW, new ceramic pads and new rotors all around... Like i said all was quiet with the mounty yesterday.:us::feedback:
