Who out there has component systems? What brand do you have, size, price range, and where did you install the tweeter? How is Audiophile? Any help would be great. Thanks

MUCH MORE TO COME

i have 6-1/2" pioneers with a 1" tweeter. I mounted the tweeter on the door panel above the door switch panel.I bought them off a friend but I think he got them for $200.I also needed to make a template for the 6-1/2" to fit in the stock 5x8" hole, that was sort of a pain, but crutchfield makes them but they just didn't make that size.As far as audiophile goes I haven't used them yet but crutchfield was pretty helpful.www.crutchfield.com

I've got 6.5s in the doors and tweeters in the dash. The dash is a pain to get apart but after listening to them it's worth the work.

In my wife's Explorer we have JL Audio VR525CS and VR600CS component systems in the front and rear doors. Al & Ed's Autosound made custom templates that allowed us to have component systems in the doors without actually cutting into the fabric of the door. I have this thing of "hiding" my custom sound systems. The JL components ran us $200.99 for the 5.25 and $219.99 for the 6 inch system. They're well worth the $$$.
