I read your post but haven't found what i need.

My A/C is not working, it only blows hot Air, i remember that i started having problems because i use to have Cold air, and suddenly it went hot, than cold till one day it only went hot.

I tough that maybe it need it gas, but i found out that it did have GAS, so i thought it was the blend door issue but i found out that wasn't the problem because we inspected the door the door was working fine, i also tried the MAx A/C trick and the air keep coming out hot in the different vent's that i had selected. i noticed that the compressor wasn't turning on, so we decided to jump the compressor to see if it worked and it does work. One of the electricians that was helping me told me that it could probably be the Climate control Panel that is not working.

When i went to fill up GAS the guy told me that i probably had a leak and that is why the compressor was not working because it didn't have enough pressure, that he could jumper the compressor to fill it up, but that it be better if i check if the climate control panel is working, do you guys have any idea how to check if my control panel is working with out having to get a new one?

thanx

oh well, i finally got my ac fixed. it seems that i had 2 leaks.

The accumulator was rusted and it was leaking and the other thing that i had was the condenser was leaking a lot more.

The other thing was that i had no gas, it was completely empty that is why the compressor wasn't turning unless i jumpered directly.

the guys on the shop where real pros, they new what was going on pretty fast. after they filled it up with one can, they noticed that the compressor was still not starting, so they checked the cycling switch, but it was working fine, so they traced all wires, and they noticed that the relay wasn't grounded correctly, it seems the pcm wasn't sending the ground signal correctly, what they did was grounded a cable from the relay to the chassis and everything was working again.

They replaced the accumulator and the condenser, and tested every cable and charged me 260 bucks, for the job, and they gave me 6 months guarantee.

The issue with the accumulator was common with some of the Explorers, or so I've heard. Did the old one have something wrapped around it?
