I have an 07 Explorer XLT. It has been acting strangely lately. When I start it up, it revs up like the old chokes would do. Then it slows down. Doesn't matter if AC is on or not. Also after sitting in the heat of AZ for about an hour, the anti-slide feature light flashed on the dash and the engine slowed me from 45 to around 25. I could slowly speed up again but would slow me down when I hit around 45. It did this 4 times. Finally quit. I replaced the battery a couple weeks ago. Someone told me I may need to reset the computer now. Any ideas?

What engine do you have? My first thought is to clean the throttle body and MAF sensor and see if that helps any. Also check for any codes that it may have pending or stored in the system.

Start with what I said and post if you have any codes. I have never heard of issues like yours due to a new battery and the V6 is not known for throttle body failures.
