I've got a question concerning the factory 5.0L Mustang computer. Before I install my motor I plan on doing some modifications like a camshaft and better heads, how do I adjust the computer to accept these changes? I know the EFI conversion kit that Edelbrock sells comes with a plug in controller to fine tune the Edelbrock computer for the motor thats installed. Do I need to do something like Edelbrock or is the computer self adjusting? Thanks for the help.

If your using a MAS processor, then the computer will self adjust. If your using an digital fuel injection then you will have to tune the processor to match the engine modifications.

So if I'm using the factory MAS and factory EEC it should self adjust and I'll be worry free? What about if I also use an aftermarket chip? The EEC should take care of all the adjustments on its own? Thanks for the help.

Yes even with a chip the computer will adapt to the mods.

Hey dude!

What happened?
We were going to do your wiring for you in exchange for your old A4LD?

You left me high and dry and now I'm looking for another A4LD.....

Who's doing your wiring now?

Email me if you still want to work something out....

All I wanted was the tranny, flexplate, starter, and wires.
All that stuff goes with the tranny, not the 4.0L....

I'm still interested but you gotta contact me soon....

I sent you an e-mail and never received any response so I figured you weren't interested any more. The tranny sold about a week ago.

must have been my old email address because I never got it.
Darn.

OH well, let us know when/if you are ready for the wiring...

I'm thinking I may just buy a rebuilt A4LD anyways, save some trouble down the road....
