Ray has one

I know Ray Lobato had one on his X. So you might wanna talk to him about it. He should be able to help you out.

Bigcheck1,
Like KSpride said, I have a Con-Ferr rack. I like it alot.
I bought the light holders, Axe/shovel, and Hi-lift jack accessories. Lignt holders and Hi-lift jack are great, however I think that a better axe/shovel holder could be made for a cheaper price.

They are alittle expensive, but well worth it. JMHO

ray,
that is officially what i have been looking for. i want the light holders and i really want the adapters to make a ski rack work on it. i'm gonna look into seriously now. just a quick question though....how much of an installi is it. i.e. how long does it take, i would be taking it off every once in a while to put my bike racks on. also, did it come with a floor in it or did you have to order it seperately? thanks for the info and the pics on your site are a great help as well.

Chad,
The floor comes seperate. The rack is not something you would want to take off and on, it's pretty heavy. They have bike mount adaptors that attach to the rack, so it wouldn't be nessacary to take it off. It's not hard to put together, but like I said earlier, it's sort of heavy, and will need 2 people to mount it. It's not that hard and shouldn't take but a few hours to put together and mount, working at a leasurely pace. If you buy the floor from them, it is a bunch of square rails that have to be clamped to the frame, that is what takes so long. I don't really care for them. A sheet of diamond plate cut to the dimensions of the inside of the rack, would be much better in my opinion. It might be different for your particular case seeing as if you get the bike mounts, you might need to have the factory flooring to use the mounts. Hope this helps

Do they make a carrier attachment for hauling Kayaks? I want to get two Kayaks's for next years Rubicon trip. I have had my Con Ferr rack for 7 years and it is great.

i have the conferr on mine too i also have the lights, i went with the hella 500's. i got mine a few years ago and back then the paint on them was real bad, i had to take mine off and repaint the entire thing cause it was getting real rusty but recently they have changes something and the paint looks better. the ones with the oval decals on the corners are the newer ones mine had the old circle stickers.

hey..can one of you folks with the conferr rack post or send me a picture of the mounting brakets? a closeup of one would be great! i want to see how it mounts to the rack and the rails. thanks in advance! i built a rack, but my mounting method sucks.

Ray and Jeff what are the measurements of your racks and how do they mount to the roof as opposed to the surco roof racks

Thanks
Ryan

I have some closeup pictures at home of how the roof rack mounts. I'll try to post em later. It has four "posts" that go in the existing tracks and with the use of a large washer and a screw kind of "clamp" to the existing rack. Then the roof rack just bolts into those posts. I don't know how the surco mounts.
Mine's allright, I just wish the corners weren't so rounded. They say its like 39x59 so I figure I've got 39" (or maybe 37-38") to mount lights to the front, but as it turns out, they round off the edges so its actually about 31-32". The things practically an oval :).
