What if I said I'm tired of reading a bunch of threads and still not sure what I need? Im posting to see what will happen

I know there are a ton of threads and I've been reading everything from posts about john deere lights to lights for older explorers.

I want better lights (both high and low beams) that aren't blue.

Ok...hit me with your advice and please don't post links to 5 page threads... thanks in advance.

I see lots of claims about the Silverlight or whateverthehell they are called bulbs. I also see lots of people talking about how long they DON'T last. I experienced this first hand so I rule out the bulbs.

If you have fog lights you can mod so they stay on with brights.

You can replace OEM with HID which has all kinds of positive reports.

Headlight wiring mod that increases power to lights which makes them brighter.

Install quality driving lights.

All depends on what you want, how much time/money/experience you have.

Put in a heavy duty headlight harness, Phillips extreem power 9007 bulbs and replace your headlight housings if pitted or discolored on the inside or just clean the outside lense if needed.
I use a harness and Silverstar bulbs but then I like the white type light.
Do not go w/hid unless you are ready to open the housing and put in a projector.

Bill, I had another Sport Trac member inquire about these headlight harnesses. He has Silverstars already and states a big improvement with them. Can you say for sure that the HD harness improved your light output? By chance measure the voltages at the bulb before and after the harness install? I told him to check the voltage at the bulb before buying the harness as I had doubts of much improvement. What you say?
