- 2001 ford explorer xlt
Hey guys new to the forum.
I have a 2001 explorer xlt and decided to run 2 16 gauge speaker wires through the (mallox I believe it's called) connector to run active speakers in the front. So I removed it, drill for wires through connector NO wires at all were effected by drilling I was very careful. I put everything back together and check all door locks and Windows every thing works on the inside. Went to work the next day locked the keys in car like always( I use the outside keypad religiously). After work I put code in and nothing happends at all. Now this is the factory key code that the woman gave to me when I bought it ( I also checked the RAP module to ensure code). All buttons work and the interior lights come on after I touched each individual number to make sure they worked.
Any one have any opinions on what I can do to fix it. I tried reseting it a couple times but I can't get it to work so by me unplugging that connector must have reset something else.
All ideas are welcome.
