Control Trac 4x4 Disabled?

I have a quick question for all you explorer experts. I have a '97 Sport equipped with the Control Trac auto 4x4. I have found this feature quite useful in bad weather and in the sand, however, I was wondering if there was a way to disable it during the summer months. I was wondering if there was a fuse or something that could be pulled to turn off the Control Trac. If this is possible will it trip and OBDII alarms? (I hate warning lights) any help would be greatly appreciated.

your in luck! read through these 18 pages and you'll be set. its very simple.. involves splicing a switch into a single wire. read up on it here.. the initial method with yellow wire was dropped and the brown wire method was used. you'll see what i mean in this link...
