i have a 1991 ford explorer with 105k on it and the transmission is starting to get a little questionable. and i was wondering how hard it would be to convert it into a 5 speed. how many things would i have to change?

Pretty easy swap. Its pretty much a bolt in deal. To do it right like it is from the factory you need the trans, shifter and boot, flywheel, clutch/pressure plate, starter, clutch master cylinder, clutch line, pedals, slave cylinder, ecm, and trans wiring harness. I swapped mine over when I got it.

sweet thanks a lot guys. i am new to this website but it looked like there where ppl here that knew what they were talking about. i plan on doing the swap to mine in a few weeks because i just got a raise at my job and i have always wanted the 5 speed in it
