Hello everyone. i have a 4.0L explorer and am going to put a 302 in it, and want to back it with a T5. Has anyone done this, or know where i can get a pedal assembly out of an explorer, or if the pedals out of a ranger will work.
Thanks for the help..

A T-5 is not strong enough to hold up on an Explorer due to the weight.

The pedal assembly out of a 5spd explorer or 5spd ranger will work. But what Dan stated is true so you may want to look into your other tranny options.

Shifter placement is important too.

You CAN get a WorldClass T-5 that WILL hold up to a moderate 302. But you must use a S-10 Tailshaft, as they put the shifter in the factory space where the M5OD came through.

You could use the half ton version of the M50D from a Bronco or F150. Just a thought it still isn't the stronges transmission but will hold up fairly well.

There are MANY different ways to make the clutch on a T-5 work with your hydraulic set-up.
