ok so i dont want to give anything away yet...but.....certain....circumstances have come up and i am forced to conver my rear lug pattern to 6 lug....i think 6x5.5......so how would i go about something like that? id like to stay away from those cheesy aluminum wheel spacers. also.....would disc vs drum make a difference? cause there may be other.....circumstances......;)

Get a 6 lug rear axle to match the front D44 you're wanting to swap in.

Buy new Axles.

For about $275.00, you can buy a pair of 8.8" 31-spline axles with a 6 Lug Pattern.

1) Swap over to the 2nd gen's axle to get disc brakes
2) Get some after-market axle shafts (Dutchman?) for the 2nd gen 8.8" but drilled for Full Size Jeep (FSJ) pattern.
3) Have a machine shop drill the 8.8" rotors for the FSJ pattern and stud size.

i knew someone would have an answer for me. where would i find these dutchman axles? i did a google search and got a home page but not much price info. any online retailers carry them?

I think you're going to have to call Dutchman. And I think there are other manufacturers out there too like Moser and Currie, but still you need to give them a call I think.
