I just did a body lift and when I started it up to check to make sure all the gears and steering was ok I found that it had a little white smoke coming from under the hood. It is definitely antifreeze. It is leaking off the off the bell housing just to the left of the universal. The smoke is coming off the back of the engine though. It is a slow but steady drip. I had replaced my thermostat last summer but I just checked the gasket and that is fine and it is snugged down. All of the hoses for the radiator are up from and the heater is on the right side of the car. I cant figure out where it is coming from or how to stop it. Any help on this is greatly appreciated. I just wanna get this thing back on the road.

Have you checked the heater control valve? It's located near the firewall and has a vacuum line running into it. It's prone to leakage.

No I havent but I will check that. Thanks, hard to see where it is coming from but it is just to the trucks left of center about in line with the firewall

There is a freeze plug on the back of the block on either side. Mine rusted out. PITA to replace. I had to cut it out with a flex shaft moto-tool and then replace it with one of the rubber plugs you tighten down.
