nice. everything looks clean on that bumper, flows together nicely

After a couple of measurements were taken I found out the CAD bumper was about 8" further back than what it should have been.

I "thought" I had the frame ends where they were suposed to be. Guess not, but they are now.

Aproach angle is 51°

Usually I'm the guy that copies everyone else. I threaded a piece of pipe and just have a brass plug. :p:

looking good looking goood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! damn i hope mine turn out as nice as yours. hey does your shock tabs come real close to your steering? just something i was thinking about

Yes they do. This is version 3 of the front mounts.

With the stock linkage there was a sweet spot at the tiop of the beam section. With the superrunner it's not possible unless you move the mount above the TRE.

With my addition of the D44 knuckles I plan to keep the TRE under tha arm like it is on the D44. This will give me an added 3" of room. I've got the 3" DIA shock as close to the coil as I feel comfortable with.

I'll try the superrunner and see how it fits. If not I still have a stock linkage I can throw in untill I think of a crossover setup.

should be fine with the tie rods oner the knuckle, thats how all the 2wd guys run theres (thats how 2x4 rangers are)

so you gonna build steering like autofabs? when you do, post the geometry specs so others can fiddle with custome steering to (unless you put a pat it)

ok so collecting info from other threads, your putting d44 knuckles on and did i see that you also widened them? and i would assume they're not cut and turned since your an advicat for drop brackets? yeah?

Nope not widened. The overall I was told with the D44 knuckles it'll be about 1.5" total or 1.5" per side. I can't seem to get a definate answer on that. I'll just have to measure before and after.

It's not that I'm an advocate for the drop brackets. Just if they are made and braced properly there shouldn't be an issue. I admit I was blind to what the desert guys were using so to me a cut and turn beam is nothing but problems. But what the desert guys actually cut and move are what was done to your beams. If/when I do the D44 beam conversion I may look at cutting the lower ball joint area and go back to/close to factory geometry brackets.

i used to be anti drop brackets, but i've come to realize that if your just rock crawling and stuff, they'll work fine. for high speed ad jumping, not so good. but drop brackets will work for anyone on this site.

Have you seen my brackets?? I've made a couple sets for people and they say that they are by far the best you can get. But then I'm just blowing my own horn here.

Got the lower ball joint seat reamed out on both beams, and got the new ball joints pressed into one of the knuckles. The other knuckle will get done tomorrow. I'll take the camera out with me and get some pictures of the mock up.

alright yes, pics pics pics!!! :D

kickin some ass
