Got a bit done lastnight. I cut the shock boots off. They looked Dorkey on there.

Removed the 1/2" spacer from under the drivers coil and added a 1/4".

Removed the caliper retaining bolt and replaced with one that has a smaller head.

Trimmed the beam lip for steering clearance. It will go full lock now.

I adjusted the toe and I think I went too far with it and now there is too much toe out. I'll recheck it in the daylight tonight. Looks like the passengerside is a bit negative in the camber. I've got a 1° cam that is in the full neg position so i can clock it 1/4 turn to see where that gets me.

slow but it's getting there. Trying to aquire a set of spacers for the front. As there is little to no width change, with adding spacers to the rear is going to put the rear wider than the front. I'd like to redrill the axle shafts and rotors to go to the 5.5" BC but I don't think there is enough material for that. Only other option is to use a pre 92 ranger 8.8 as it's narrower than the explorer axle, but then I step down to a 28 spline axle.:(

Pressed out the studs on the rear adapters. I pulled some of the studs out of a set of front rotors i have. I'll be pressing more studs out to replace the ones in the adapters as the D35 rotor studs are about 1/2" longer and fit better with the aluminum wheels.

Just get some aftermarket shafts with the 5 on 5.5 spacing, and re-drill your drums. The shafts are fairly cheap, not to mention the fact that the alloy material offers a strength increase over the stock shafts. I got mine from http://www.dutchmanms.com

I don't think the superrunner is helping anything.

I may be better off with the stock linkage. Or time to get cracken on this!

does the swingset system bring that much toe in? and if not then damn i guess i can see why they say its the "****"

im pretty sure the supperrunner steerin is doin better than stock, although the stupidlift design doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. but it does give me some ideas on how to design my own costum steering. i say just make your swinger steering so we can all drool some more

Drove a bit on the highway lastnight and it's got a quirk in it. I'm sure it's alignment. I think camber goes positive and its making the steering twitchy. It's hard to tell when your in the truck what it's doing. My TRE are near maxed out. Don't know how much further I want to take them out. I've talked to a couple of guys that spend time in the desert and they feel I should go back to the stock linkage.

I should of cut the lower ball joint seat on these beams....

Granted I will but, I need to make it in a way that is legal for street use. That means no heims or welding to the links.:(

Stock linkage will be going on tonight. So far, from what I can tell, the superrunner isn't the godsent it's made out to be.:salute:

sportin the single shocks?

Time for a short update.

The holes have been drilled for the bumper mounting plates. Going to pull some pipe out of the shed and see what it looks like bent up.

Installed a new head unit today. I got sick and tired of listening to skipping CD's. The new one has a USB port so I just have to plug in one of many memory sticks I have.

Got the OBA working again.

I just haven't been doing alot to it as of late because I've been driving it, as I need wheels to get things done.

aww yes, this is gonna be nice. can't wait to see more bumper inspirations

I got the lower tube bent for the bottom part of the skid. and a spreader bar.

I've got 4 tubes to notch and the tube work will be done and it's time for welding.

Skid Plate has been ordered in .10 (12 Ga) thickness.

Yes it's going to have the VMS in it.

Got all the tubes cut and Just need to clean them up and the bumper will be ready to put together. Sorry for the blurry pictures.

Marked a center line.
