Correct Rear Differential Oil for 98 Explorer 5.0 2WD?

Hello,

I went to Autozone yesterday, and they told me the correct oil for my truck is 75W-140. Well the only oil for my truck was like $20/bottle, and they said I needed 3 bottles...when the other oil was like $8/bottle.

Regardless, I was wondering if there was any place online where I could order the Rear Diff. Cover Gasket AND the Oil from the same place? Also, any recommendations on which Oil I should go with? Would like to get something with friction modifier as well

If you have a limited slip then you need 75-140, if you have an open diff you can use 80-90. Try to find an amsoil dealer in your area it's as good as it gets and should run you about $12 a bottle.

alright thanks. I just ordered 2 qts of lucas oil 75-140, 4 oz friction modifier and 8.8" gasket from Amazon.com
