Ok I am getting ready to try the c-clip eliminator option that has been posted,Ok my problem is im kinda short on funds.I want to put some manual hubs in but I dont have the $200+ bucks.

So the Question is how many members use the stock auto hubs to go and play out on the trails?

The rig is a 91 ex has a 302 and 33s and its automatic and it is ttb.

The auto hubs hold up ok, as long as you don't get stuck. What generally brakes them is "rocking" the vehicle back and forth (forward -> reverse -> forward -> reverse) to try to get it unstuck. Every time you change from forward to reverse (or reverse to forward) the auto's unlock and then relock in the new direction, and doing that with a lot of torque applied is what generally causes them to fail. With that said, you should be able to pick up a used set of manuals for $40-$60.
BTW, why list so many vehicles in your sig and not include the X?

ive wheeled auto hubs. i was still on 31s though. i spray painted em green to, took some people a while to notice they were autos.

as little x said though you should look for a used set and swape em in. the autos do have a pretty high failure rate, and i seem to be in the vast minority for having not blown one up
