Hey guys,
Today I was talking to a guy who said that he regeared his 1500 Blazer and it cost him $1300. No locker or anything. I though that 4.56 gears would be like 1500-1600 with a detroit for me. Am I way off or did he get ripped off?

I was qouted about $900 for just the 4.56's in the front and rear. This did not include lockers/lsd, seals, or bearing kits.

Tdavis,
where did you get yours done at? 4WPW in Oakland? I might be getting mine down here in SJ. Thanks.

When we went from 3.27 to 4.10 it cost us $1300 (gears + labor + misc parts) and another $525 for the detroit (free install since he was chaning gears anyway). So all told it cost us about $1800.

Hey Thomas,
Weren't you telling me that Kevin found someplace near Seaside that would do it for 2K including lockers? I'm getting ready to do the change pretty soon. Do you have name and number?

CASplorin - nope. 4wheel parts wanted 2.5k to do gears/locker/LSD. Call Differential Doctors in Oakland, they can do it for about $800-$900 cheaper.

Ray - uhm, I'd have to ask Mac about that.. let's see.. uhm, dang, I can't remember what it was! I'll talk to him sunday, when we crash BA's party.. (or, you could come down on Sunday, and watch the fun Ray!)

Went to 4wheel Parts, on San Carlos, and they quoted me $3300.00+ tax for 4.10 gears, ARB lockers front and back and seals and bearings. I though that was a little high. They also said that they couldn't get the ARBS until mid July at the earliest. I do have a question about the front ARB, but I'll post another thread on that.
Thomas, I saw Kevins post to Tony so I quess I'll show up to give him some moral support. See you Sunday.
