Last week had my X hit. Yesterday I got a message about the cost of repairs $3800!. I wanted to post a couple of pics to see others thought this was too much. Anyone know how to post the pics? Thanks
to post a pic, you need to have a host, some sort of web space like geocities, or better yet..become elite! once you have it on your web space, you can direct link to it by clicking the IMG button or type the full path, for example, this pic:
is listed as tag, followed by the link: http://business.udmercy.edu/~merendbr/images/ex.jpg ,
followed by the closing tag
and, i too would recommend multiple quotes. when u-haul messed up my liftgate, i got 6 qotes, anywhere from 262-735 and i gave them the highest two (675 which was a dealer and 735 at a quality family owned shop). in michigan, the law states that if the insurance is covering it, you can take it anywhere you want that deals with them...regardless of the quote. so, you bet that u-hauls insurance company paid the 735, which co-insidentally is only 3 dollars different than their adjustor estimated.
As for price, I hit a deer this past winter and damaged the front right fender, the panel between the front right door and the front right fender, grille, right head and parking lamp. With labor, it was about $1800. I agree - it doesn't take much to get a high repair bill.
