Couple of cracked head questions.

Hi all. Due to the usual symptoms I suspect a cracked
head on the passenger side. The plan is to order a
new casting with valves. Prices I've seen run about
$400 or so per head. (It's a 2000 4.0 OHV.)

Anyone have opinions on the best supplier? (There's
King, Alabama, and a few others.)

Where are the new castings made? China? (Hope not)

Wonder if ARP makes aftermarket head bolts? I'd
prefer them over the stock TTY bolts if possible...

Well, I ordered a head from Alabama cylinder heads;
they had the best pricing and from reading previous
posts they seemed to be as good as any.

Guess I'll order the gaskets and head bolts from
RockAuto, and start spraying penetrant on the
exhaust manifold bolts.

Not looking forward to this job...
