I have a 94 XLT that i wheel regularly, last time i was out with the jeeps i came to the top of an off camber hill and lost traction on the right front tire and it spun up to about fifty and came back down and broke the pinion gears in the front end, now i can shake my driveshaft back and forth up and down, i have already decided to just replace the whole front differential, but this is not my problem. When i got out of the park that day i did the usual unlock my front hubs and put it back in two wheel, i pushed the low range button to take it out of low and it made a loud clunk like normal but when i pushed the 4 hi button nothing no clunk jerk anything and the light is stays on but the front drive shaft does not spin while driving. im kinda lost here but im thinking its the shift motor but i wanna know before i buy the parts and btw what is the 4x4 box computer located in the rear fender by the rear washer jug do. could that have something to do with my problem? thanks guys any help is appreciated
