Hey guys, i don't post on here too often, but i have always gotten some good info! The questions i have are; for my 1998 XLT, the temperature readout on the overhead console/pod, is way off (30 or more deg.) and i was wondering if the ambient temp sensor needs to replaced or if it is something else. I read in another post that the sensor is close to the radiator on the right side? Also my other question is that how can i get the accessory power plug that is in the passenger side footwell to work again? Is it just a fuse? Is this is a fairly common problem? Thank you in advance!

Probably just a fuse. The cigar lighter and the power-point are on separate fuses. The power point is a 20 amp in position 22 in the passenger compartment fuse panel.

The power point fuse is a 20 amp fuse under the hood at the power distribution box. Its the first row in front second one over on the right.

i'd check the connection of it 2 if the fuse doesn't work, just tug gently on your center console and the whole hting will come out (2 pieces) then check n make sure it's still connected, I cut the connection on it because I don't use the plug and used it to hard wire neons to a switch...took them out and plug it back in though.

thanks for the replies guys. so is the consensus that the fuse is underhood?

Thats where mine is

wait...i blew that fuse when i was cutting the wires...mine was in the fuse panel on the driver side. Look in the manual it'll say auxillary power fuse, it's one of the 20A fuses. I don't no who found it under the hood?
