CPS Location

I’m having an intermittent wont start problem I’ve done a search and it looks like it may be the CPS. Where is this located on 1997 with SOHC ENGINE?

If it would not start because of the CPS, then it should have thrown a CEL code. You should have the codes read first.

The guess and replace method is not the preferable route, trust me, I've been there.

Some of the post I read say it wont throw
codes and one guy taps it with a screwdriver to get it started. I had it to a reliable shop and no codes and of course its not doing it now.If i knew where its located I could tap it and if that works, change it.
