So, I decided today to replace the fuel filter on my 04 Limited V8. I couldn't get the right filter being sunday and most places are closed. Pulled the old one out and decided that I may as well pull the injectors and have them cleaned (truck has done 97,000ish miles). The engine has been replaced but all but only a long block/heads, all the bolt ons are the original parts and have never been cleaned etc... I got the truck like this I haven't been the lazy one.
This is what I found
The injector on the left has cracks all over the body and is rather swollen, there were 2 like this. The one on the right was just for comparison and has no major issues. What could or would cause this? Has anybody else noticed this?
