First off, i would like to say hello to the community. Ive been reading these boards for months now, and I finally decided to join. Im new to try to get performance out of EFI, but its time for a new challange I guess. Some of my future questions and such will seem like why would he ask that. I just dont have access to my truck right now, its about 7k miles away. Im in the army and currently serving in Afghanistan, and ordering parts every now and then so i can get straight to work when i get home.

So with what ive read through these forums, with the 2-3 inches of suspenion lift I plan to do, i should be able to fit 33x10.5s, my question is just to reassure myself before i buy these wheels is to make sure theyll work. The wheels are the Cragar Black V-5 wheels, the size is 15x7. The backspacing is 3.75, which should bring my wheels out a bit, the look i would want, and the offspace is -6.00mm. These should work right? Thanks to whoever can confirm this for me before i buy them from summit. I really appreciate it. :)

Welcome, and Thank you for serving.

3.75" BS is fine. We run between 3.5 to 4" BS routinely with larger tires. Being that your staying the stock width of 7" and only a 10.5" wide tire, you shouldn't have any issues whatsoever.

Are you 2wd or 4wd?

3" TT 2wd & 2" TT 4wd is your max gain. Remember the higher you go with the TT, the less up travel and articulation you will have, plus the ride gets harsher. Get a good set of shocks to help with the stiffer ride, and a competent alignment shop to dial it in after the TT. 4* (-2*/+2*) eccentric camber bolts will be needed to dial in the camber correctly. There are smaller camber kits, but trust me, get the 4* kits. You will grow tired of the 31" tires and want to go bigger sooner than you think ;) I would get at least an 8" wheel now, so you don't have to buy again when you decide to go bigger.

Thanks for the reply. Its a 4wd. Its a 4.0l 5speed. Thats what sold me on the truck and made me decide to rescue it from the crusher at a junkyard. I think im going to stay with the 7in rims though, i wont be going any bigger. Aside from modifying the truck, im going to be looking at houses and such in the near future. So funds will be tightly budgeted. And i was looking at the 33in tires, not the 31s. I figure im pretty good with a sawzall, ill make it fit. My plans for lifting it was going with 2 inches in the front from the TT, and in the rear, im going with airshocks for the 2 inches there. I may decide to go a different route, but for now, thats what the plan is. Im a fan of trails and such, I wont be doing anything extreme. And i want to make sure ill never get stuck in the northern snow ever again. Im open to suggestions though, you guys have been there done that, im learning the ropes with this. My specialty was always carburated Mustangs....

Whoops, I misread 31 instead of 33.

Trimming will be a minimum with skinny tires. Most likely behind the tire in front of the door if any where at all.

Why not just keep the stock wheels?

Im not a fan of the stock aluminum wheels because they have that clear coat on them, so i cant polish them, and the one is ruined by rust and stuff, its got a bronze tint to it. :(

Sand blast & powder coat makes stock crap wheels into a thing of beauty. We even have a powder vendor here that has done this for members, and the look is amazing.

Search out Turdle.
