crank case ventilation tube

i want to check the pipe for leaks as i can see it has some shallow digs from looking at above, so how do i remove it..

how can i reach this at the back of the engine?
Do i have to remove the intakes and piping or from underneath the engine and reach up?
Is there a easier way?

sorry to say but i think im sure that u have got to remove the intakes.

thatll be the 5th time removing intake lol, think ill get down there with a mirror and torch to see if i can get a look at it
