I bought my son a 94 Explorer a few months ago. I changed the oil as soon as i got it home and noticed the bottom 3/4 of the dip stick was missing. I figured someone had broken it off somehow and went to the Ford dealership and bought a new one.
Well, after changing the oil again today i noticed the bottom of the dipstick was missing again. It has to be rubbing agaist the crank. I don`t know what could cause this, maybe the tube is bent somehow? Anyone else seen this before?
