Hello. I have 2004 explorer with a crank no start. I have changed the fuel filter, battery and the spark plugs. I have also had this at the “real” mechanic and they couldn’t fix it. They said it might be a fuel pump but they could not confirm and didn’t want to throw parts at it.
Here’s a big question. If I remove the intake hose and spray in starting fluid and try to start it it still will not start. I would expect that if the fuel pump was bad spraying starting spray in the engine would make it start for a few seconds. Is this correct?
