cranks strong but will not start

Went out today to start up and it cranks strong --- ( believe battery to be fully charged) but will not start. Always starts on first try. Checked fuel pump shut-off reset button and it was not disengaged. Did not flood, but tried holding down fuel petal and retry. Just cranks strong but will not start.
