Cruise Control Cover Popped Off ?

Hello and thanks in advance for any help.
My wife has an 03 Sport track and somehow the cruise control cover (the top portion that says on/off) popped off. The cruise control still works fine. My question is how to get that back on. My wife called the dealership and they quoted her like a $150 to fix it they also told her that I couldnt do it because of the airbag. Can anyone tell me if tis is true, or if I can somehow pop it back into place any help would be greatly appreciated as I hate to pay to have things done.

Let me elaborate.

I looked at the cover closely and it looks like to pop it back into place I'll have to remove the drivers side airbag and then reinstall it. Has anyone done this and if so could you tell me how or any info you might have to offer.

If you can't pop the cover back on, you will have to replace the complete cruise switch set. Just be careful not to deploy your airbag!
