- '97 Explorer XLT
hello all,
this is a perfect reason why we hate going to the dealers and we fix our own cars!!
I had brought my '97 explorer xlt in to the dealer to get my mandatory recall done (brake fluid leak)
while i was there the mechanic clips my cruise control cable from the engine to disable it. I know for a fact the cc worked because i had used it 10 min prior to get there. When i got home i noticed it was cut in two places
:thumbdwn:
I use my cc for everything and anywhere i go since i do allot of highway driving.
My question is..is there a correct name for that cable since i cannot seem to find it online, or in junkyards people look at me like i have to heads.
just to help explain it a little. it is the long black cable that comes directly from the cc (black box under the hood passenger side) that is connected directly to the engine. If i engage my cruise control the light comes on but doesn’t set speed.
can anyone help me locate that cable
thanks,
newbie
