Ok, I have a 93 limited which i love and have been working on and getting everything back into shape. My current annoyance durring my 30 mile drive to work is every now and then my cruise control decides to just crap out and stop working. Its not a mis-adjusted brake switch, because i have to move the pedal almost a full inch before it cuts out.

What i would like to do is hook up some sort of LED light in the dash so i can see at a glance if its still working. And I'm looking for any advice on where i might get a source for wiring this up.

Um... I would think just any wire that is one when the cruise control is on. Possibly the switch, or maybe the wiring that goes to the cruise control module under the hood. You'd just have to run a wire into the drivers compartment which wouldn't be hard.

Maybe find out how the second generation explorers have it wired up. I know my dad's had a display in the tach that turned on when it was activated, so in essence just copy that system. Cruise control can't vary that much.

i have been thinking about doing the same thing. I would like to see writeup if you did do it!
