how or if at all does using cruise control for traveling long distance on the highway effect your gas mpg? i was thinking that it might make the mpg better because your not tapping the gas as much, but could also be worse if cc uses gas to operate.

For best mileage on the highway, always ( traffic permitting ) use your cruise control.

exactly because you are traveling at a certain speed and not speeding up and speeding down constantly..
i highly doubt that cruise control makes gas mileage worse in any way
