Cruise Control

My cruise control is out. No off, no on and no speed control. I've visually checked the vaccum system and no glaring errors there. I've also checked the steering wheel buttons, they passed a continuity test. The one thing I have not been able to check is the Cruise Control box under the dash. What is the most common cause of failiure in the whole system. I've heard I can replace the box with a know good one from another Explorer or a Ford F150. Where are the located on the F150? Does any one know of a Ford Junk Yard in the Bellingham to Bellvue Area? Thanks for your help!

Umm...dumb question, but did you check the fuse? The guy who sold me my 88 f-150 said the cruise had not worked in years. I replaced the fuse and it has worked just fine since.

Yeah I should have included that too, The brake lights all work and the fuse is fine and I beleive the clutch switch is fine as well.
