i'm not really sure where to post this topic, but i'm looking to fix my cruise control. i think that when my engine was switched, the guy might not have bothered hooking it up. i'm wondering if anyone knows of a site or a book to get that explains how to do it.

Thanks,
Jeff aka Lamah

It's probally a missing or disconected vacuum line.. The "Haynes" manual has a pretty good diagram of it..

hrmm. i'll look into it. would that cause it to not work at all or just be kinda screwy ? cause i get nothing when i use it

not to work at all....Fords are notorious for this...Send me a PM with your e-mail and I'll try to hook you up with a link..

I have a 94 xlt. When I bought it in 98 the cruise control was not working. I happened to go to dealer one day for a check engine light problem. They told me my cruise control unit was not even bolted to the engine compartment. They bragged about putting it back for free. It didn't fix the problem but after reading the previous posts I thought maybe a hose was missing on mine too. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks, Steve

just like the dealer to brag about not fixing somthing :)
