Ok, this is what I have done, so how about a idea what I need to do next????

1. checked all vacume lines going to the unit.

2. the radio and horn work. (takes care of the fuses)

3. Took the switches apart in the wheel and cleaned them up, they looked good.

4. tapped on the little green box above the glove box.

The criuse was fine, and just quit the other day??????

Checked the wiring at the unit, and the throttle cables?

Checked all the wiring, and the cable.......

I assume your 93 has a cruise dash lamp, does it come on?

Check the switch at the break pedal. There is a switch, that when you press the break, it tells the cruise to shut off so you can stop. It will be just above the break pedal, should be a plunger type switch. Mine went on my Wifes Tempo, and that was the fix!

I will check the switch at the peddel, as for the dash light, it has never came on, I don't know is there is one for that matter.?????????????

My '92 doesn't have any cruise control indicator lights.

Been There

What you'll have to do is remove your steering wheel. Very easy. Once it's off you'll see all kinds of gunk on the electrical contacts(circular). Clean it real good with electrical cleaner, steering wheel too. Re-install steering wheel. Should work.

Of course the simple clean the shift motor for 4wheel drive work for everyone else but me.

Also

Also, check your brake light fuses. I had a 94 ranger that the cruise wouldn't work unless they did and when the ABS fuse blew the Cruise wouldn't work either. Also, this is going to sound stupid. check the cable at the throttle body. When I first bought mine, it didn't work. Didn't know why. I wanted to kick myself for not checking it on Test drive. Glad I didn't now. I wouldn't have bought it. Turns out it was just disconnected at the throttle body. Soon after Ford recalled it.

Hey, the cruise now works, went up on the pass and used 4X4 for about 10 min, and the cruise started working, before then I did everything that you all said, but no luck???? Any one have any ideas on that one????

Maybe

instead of shaking something loose you shook it back into place
