2001 EB V8 AWD with 140k on it. Recently the trans seems the TCC is not locking and unlocking correctly. Had the trans fluid exchanged and seemed to make a little better but just drove 120mile trip and it was ok but still not the same.
WHile on the trip the cruise does not work, no lights come on when pressing switch. ALso, the horn does not work. I looked for a fuse for the cruise but could no find which one is under. There is a horn relay that I would have to look at when I get back tomorrow.
Any thoughts on what fuse the cruise is tied to and if any of the problems are related? I doubt it but no problems with the truck until the last few weeks so dont know whats up. Trans has no leaks and fluid is up to level. I use Lucas as well and keep fluid changed every 30k.
Any thoughts would be helpful as I have searched here and cant find anything. thanks

No thoughts on the tranny, but since the cruise buttons and the horm are both on the part of the steering wheel that turns, you might look for a "clock spring" wiring problem.

for your horn and cruise, look under the hood in the distribution box. there is a 10 amp fuse that mite be blown.

Ok I found a fuse that was blown under the hood. It was for the horn. I replaced it but it still does not work. I also checked the horn relay and that is fine as well. Would this be a clock spring then? The radio and temp control on the steering wheel still work but the cruise and horn do not. any thoughts?
