it looks like a BMW and I like it! It stays enough like mountaineer, but has a slight bimmer influence, i think it looks really good

Swap the lights for the Hella (or are they PIAA - I can't remember) Black Magics and they would be completely invisible.

I'm not into street, but hey to each his own...mine is camoflauged.

Don't you know that if you mix parts from different mfgs the universe slowly starts imploding?

IMO I simply don't think it looks right.

Are your head lights pointed down (looks like it in the side view)? Those HIDs to bright?

i in no way mixed parts from different manufacturers. it doesn't even actually look like an x5 grille. it just looks more like that than the grille from any other manufacturer. the bmw grilles are completely flipped from the way mine is.

just something i would like to point out....when it comes to different type of grilles, what choices do we have? so far, only the billet grilles for all explorers. and i dont know about you, but everybody and their dog, and their dog's hoe has a billet grille ( i know, im guilty). i mean, i like it because its original. yes, when i first saw it, i thought 'holy crap, bmw bought ford, hehe). anyway, the idea of a custom grille has been enticing me...i think it looks good, cant wait till its finished!

It was origionally a 2000 Mounty grille though, so you could make one yourselg if you really wanted to.

it is one of a kind. it has since been changed once again too.
