custom wheel back spacing

Im looking at centerline stingray wheels, 17x8 but they only come with 5 inch backspacing, I want to use a 31 inch tire but Im not sure if the backspacing is ok. can some body help me ??? I have a 98 X sport 4x4

it will most likely fit, but that is a lot of backspacing...

not 100% sure on it fitting though

but 5" is a lot of backspacing....
