I originally posted this thread at Blueovalnews.com and I thought I post it here as well.

I'm conducting this survey to all of the Ford owners, particularly the Bay Area Ford owners (since I'm from the Bay Area) about your experiences with your Ford dealerships (whether it's good or bad).

1.)How satisfied are you with their service before and after the sale?
2.)Are you confident taking your car into their shop for a repair? Do you get an update regarding the work being performed to your car? Were or are you satisfied after the work?
3.) Would you buy your next Ford or recommend this dealership to someone whom you care about?

These questions should at least help us in choosing our dealer when the time comes to purchase our next Ford.

My dealer is Serramonte Ford (Daly City/Colma). The salesguy was professional and helpful. Some of them were pricks. The finance guy tried to "hustle" me though, but it's ok. It's his job and I understand that. They gave me a VIP oil change for two years at no cost to me.

Their service department employees are helpful and professional people. When my truck was repaired (drive shaft was replaced due to leak), I was always given information about the status of my truck. On the downside, I was told originally that the job was going to take a day. It turned out to be three days and two nights. They left my truck in their parking lot unprotected. Some valuables were stolen. Total value was about $450.00. All they can say was, "SORRY IT NEVER OCCURED BEFORE". They had my key and my alarm control for crying out loud!!! "Why couldn't they activate the alarm or at least lock the doors prior to leaving it unattended at night?" Their response again was, "WE DO NOT LOCK THE CARS AT NIGHT" (I don't know if this policy applies to all Ford dealerships). This should serve as a warning to all of you that our cars are more vulnerable to theft and vandalism when in the CARE of a Ford dealership. This shows that they don't care about us nor our cars. Why should they? It's not their cars, right?

My last visit to this dealership was a couple of months ago. It's regarding a whistling noise under my hood. The guy who admitted me clearly stated that he hears the whistling noise as well. When I picked up my truck, the whistle can still be heard and the service report states "could not document the problem". Again the service advisor was nice, friendly, and professional, but the result of the diagnostic was unsatisfactory. The whistling noise can still be heard unfortunately. And it is annoying. I plan in taking my truck to another Ford dealer for a second opinion (or maybe an idependent auto shop). I beleive this is a result of the cost cutting measures implemented by Ford. Less expenses....More problems to us!!!
