Cutting the airbox?

I searched a little, figured there would be somethin about doing this,

in the 91-94, i heard alot that the airbox is pretty restrictive, and i dont doubt it at all, would it help me at all to cut a nice size idk we'll say 5x5 hole in it?

when i get some money, im gonna buy a nice intake for it anyways so might as well right?

swiss cheese mod is what they call it. Never tried it. I went right to the air intake. Supposed to work OK. You can make your own intake on the cheap as well.

There are alot of people on here that do that. I have seen one guy even take a shot gun with bird shot to his airbbox so it is nothing real percise. Just make holes or what have you. I plan on doing this to my airbox as well once it gets a little warmer out. Good luck.

I would go cone filter if you can, you`ll notice it more.

Just pull the hose out. It works the same and is easy and reversable.

The air intake hose that runs from behind the headlight to the filter box.

ahhh i gotcha, i seen that hose, but it didnt seem like it was connected to the airbox but nvm it is lol, ill try that later
