I just read this thread
http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=102474&highlight=half+shaft
And think I may have the same problem. I recently replaced my hubs and cv axles. I'm now getting a noise from the passenger side when turning. When I took out the old pass cv axle the inner shaft came out w/ it. When reassembling I put the inner shaft on the new cv axle then put it back in the diff. I can now feel movement in and out of the cv axle from the diff. Is it possible that I just didn't get the c-clip to lock back in and I just need to take it apart and give it a good wack? Or do I need to get a new C clip and pull the inner axle back out?
