Are the cylinder heads from a 1997 Explorer 4.0 the same as heads from a 1993 Explorer 4.0?

Whats the price range to have a set of heads rebuilt for a 93 explorer?
An exhaust valves is cracked in one of the heads. Can that be replaced or do I need to buy all new valves?

Thanks

You can buy a new valve and "lap" it in or have a machine shop rebuild the head. Should only cost a couple hundred dollars if you don't need valve springs and bring the heads to them. If you do send your heads to a machine shop have them order a head gasket set for you and you'll save some money.

Make sure you get the bolts with the head gasket set. They are stretch bolts, and shouldn't be reused.
