Cylinder not firing

My 2001 Explore Sport has a problem where cylinder 2 and 6 will not fire. I have tried 2 after market coil packs and a 3rd right from my local dealer and they still will not fire.

Have you tested to see if the wires are bad?

yes

yes, new plugs, a good set of wires, but same problem

The primary ignition trigger for cylinders 2 and 6 is carried by the tan/light green wire. With the coil pack and PCM disconnected, check that wire for an open or short to ground.
