How does one replace the dashlights in a 96 eb ??
Specifically, it's the one that lights up the gas gauge. Any experienced soles out there ??

You have to take off the dash and then remove the guage cluster to get to the lights. Search for "white face guages". Somewhere is a good write up on getting the dash & guages out.
Its not hard just time consuming.

it's a time consuming process of removing almost eveything on the dask from the radio bezel to the left door. if you do a search, you will find all the info you need. basically, remove the piece above the drivers feet, then take off the radio bezel, then remove the instrument cluster. please take my advice and replace all of them while you have the cluster out. once you get into the project, you'll understand why... good luck!

edit: oops! looks like bill and i were postong at the same time!!

OK,
I really don't understand WHY my thread was moved to Performance Lighting. It has NOTHING to do with Performance aftermarket cra! I only want to know how to replace a stock bulb. One would think that such a question would be located at "under the hood".

drmore good point about replaceing all the lights. I ment to look & see about the light, if there is one, for the headlight switch but forgot. Now it'll probably be a long time before I'm into that area again. ( Ihope)
Later...
crmayna, No worries...Who knows where a thread about modifing the light under the hood would end up.

there is one for the headlight, hey so how crazy was it, my dad told me that it would be worth paying the 100 plus to get it fixed at ford. my fuel is out, and im just gonna wait till more go out before i move on it.....

Which headlight bulb? The one for the high beam indicator or the headlight switch? If it is your headlight switch then it takes about 45 minutes to replace the bulb. It is very easy to do, but there are 17 screws to remove to get to it. Once you get the switch out, the bulb just screws into it. If it is your high beam indicator then it would take a little longer since you have to go through the same procedure as you do to remove the switch, and then a little more.

its not worth the money to get it done by ford if you can do it yourself with a little time. especially that much money
