I am new tonight to boards and think this place looks great, I will definitly stop in often. My first problem is I have exhausted my seach capabilities on what is wrong with my dash lights. At night with headlights on all my dash lights (idiot lights and radio area still work but all gauges are dark). I check all fuses and they are ok. Is it just a burned out bulb or ? If just a bulb what is proceeedure to chane it(them) out?

thanks.

Do you have a dash light dimmer controller? It might be turned down all the way. It should be on the dash near the drivers door. You should be able to turn it and adjust the light level to your liking.

Oh, and welcome to the site.

Chris;

Thats the first place I looked. This the symptom not the cure. I rotate it all the way to the turning on of dome light and back, I get nothing on dash.

Well then. I have no idea. The only way I know of changing the bulbs are by taking off the dash gauge panel, but I don't believe the lights are supposed to go out. The Haynes manual I think shows how to take it a part.

Other than that, I can't help you anymore. Sorry.

It sounds like the electrical connector on the back of the dash has come off, or all the bulbs are burnt out, which is highly unlikey...Either way you will have to take the guage cluster out. Good luck.

Removing dash panel...

Where not here to discourage you... Take the dash apart is not a big deal. Give yourself about an hour or two. If you need direction, just PM or whatever. Lata!
