illumination lights gone out

Hi, can any advise, is it easy to change the illumination lights inside the dash as some of the dashboard lights has gone out, so you can no longer see the battery charge and the oil pressure gauge and 1/2 the speedo in the dark. Does this mean dash board out to change. Any help appreciated before getting down on my back to sort. Gary

I’ve changed few, it’s not hard to change one, but to get to it, you would have to remove, front panel, radio, and bits, check this out, as a guide

let me know if you’d need more help, been fiddling with instruments clusters for a bit, not a easy task to do, but not very hard.

Easier on an explorer than most cars. The hardest part is removing the bonnet release catch, but thats only because its a awkward spot to fit into.
