Just today i started having a electrical problem. The light switch ahs 3 positions. off, tail lamps/parking lights/dash, and then all of the above plus headlights. When i put the switch in the 2 position when my tail lamps, dash lights, and parking lights are supposed to come on they dont. I have to pull the switch a little past the 2nd position for them to come on. And then when i pull it all the way out to position 3 the headlights come on, and everthing else goes off. I know its not the switch because i went at got a another one, and it did the same exact thing.

thanks

Update, i went to shucks and bought a brand new switch and it didnt work. I was infact able to jump each one of the electric componets with a wire. By sticking it inside each connector, i got the headlights, and the running lights, and the dash lights. SO it all work, but it when i put in a switch.

Check all fuses if you haven't already. The taillights and dome lights use a different fuse than the headlights do. In particular, the tail lights use fuse #10 on the interior fuse panel.

I'm thinking that the reason that it might work when you pull the switch out a little further than position 2 is because you are making some contact with the headlight circuit.

Yea, but its not just the dome light, its all the lights that come on in position 2. So would i just be the fuse for the tail lights, or multiple fuses? But also, i am able to jump all the lights individualy using a test light.

are the tail lights, running lights, and dome lights all on the same fuse?

Hey, thanks dude, that worked perfect. thanks

What worked?

it was infact fuse #10, thanks
