Dashboard AC vents

does anyone know how to remove this ac vent from the dash (the larger one), preferable without damaging the dash or the vent, does the dash have to come out to remove it?

No the trim around the vent just pops off. With it comes all the vent and moving parts Doing it without damaging it is the tricky part. Ill be home for lunch in about an hour and take some pictures of it. Mine pops in and out easy now.

Thanks for the info. Just not shure how to grab it with my fingers a.k.a. bowling pins.

I used a screw drive to pry it out. I'll double check when I get home to make sure I'm not telling you wrong and breaking something. I wasn't as much concerned about the looks of mine though. Getting it back in I think is harder than getting it out.

Getting it back in just takes some time and alignment
